Presented by: George Angerbauer and Tim Sueltenfuss, Booz Allen Hamilton; and Doug Karas, U.S. Air Force Real Property Agency
This presentation will increase participants understanding of measurement and evaluation as they apply to a community involvement strategy. The session will begin with a discussion of why measurement and evaluation are essential for any community involvement strategy. Participants will receive information on general measurement models and their relevance to community involvement, types of performance measurement and their purpose, a toolbox of measurement tools and processes and guidance for applying evaluation designs. The presenters also will introduce a case study showing the need for a measurement and evaluation approach to a community involvement program. The presenters will work with participants to develop a cause-and-effect mapping of an appropriate strategy for the scenario and will provide guidance on using strategy maps as tools for integrating and aligning each component of their strategy. Participants will brainstorm measures appropriate to the strategy map. The presenters will use this brainstorming to highlight examples of appropriate and inappropriate measures and provide tips for selecting the most effective measurement methods.
